Brux’Health

Brux’Health was founded in 2018 with the aim of promoting the health and well-being of gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) in Brussels. New in Brussels, the Brux’Health programme proposes  an innovative approach, with 3 main priorities:

A holistic vision: Brux’Health is in favour of a multidisciplinary and positive approach to health and well-being. The activities are part of a global vision of health (emotional, social, emotional, physical, etc.) and include various topics: coming-out, self respect, prevention of HIV and other STIs, healthy eating, anal cleansing, etc.

Activities in health facilities: Brux’Health organises the welcome, information and orientation in several health facilities (health centres, family planning centres, etc.). The objective of the information sessions will be to point people towards the relevant health professionals according to their needs (screening, proctology, sexology, physiotherapy, social services, etc.). These professionals are specially trained by Brux’Health in the health characteristics of gay, bisexual and other MSM.

2.0. Activities: gay, bisexual and other MSM make extensive use of new communication technologies to meet. Brux’Health offers Exchange 2.0 possibilities between health professionals and their target audiences in innovative ways: orientation advice on meeting apps, live question and answer sessions on social networks, participatory 2.0 workshops, information and training video capsules, etc.

Brux’Health offers a non-judgmental space for exchange as well as adequate resources adapted for the needs of gay, bisexual and other MSM, while respecting anonymity.
