Vulcana
Since March 2021, the Vulcana team, which brings together artists and activists, aims to spread queer and inclusive art in the city of Brussels. To this day they offer workshops for children and adults, talking circles in chosen mixity, a militant film-debate, educational and artistic events around care.
By using art and culture, Vulcana wants to raise public awareness on issues of intersectional feminism, mental and sexual health, and open debates on non-binarity, masculinities and decolonialism. By addressing primarily women and gendered people, racialized people, the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities as well as sex workers, Vulcana intends to make the capital’s queer art scene visible and known.
