A unique, committed and supportive network of associations.
Since its creation in 2001, the Brussels LGBTQIA+ network of associations has continued to grow. RainbowHouse now has more than 70 member associations, each of which is involved in its own way in the life of our community: cultural associations, feminist associations, sports associations, activist associations, continuing education associations, youth associations, senior associations, etc.
Our network is constantly growing. Its ultimate goal is to federate associations representing all the diversity of needs and identities of LGBTQIA+ people in order to promote dialogue in a world in perpetual change. Thus, the federation is home to a plurality of opinions, from those stemming from historical struggles to those reflecting the most recent developments in society. All voices can be heard and defended as long as they do not perpetuate patriarchal or discriminatory ideas. RainbowHouse is committed to this, with the utmost vigilance.
RainbowHouse Brussels is located in the second most cosmopolitan city in the world (1). It is in this incredibly rich and varied context that our dome evolves. The network of associations is naturally in the image of its city, plural and intercultural: with the colors of the rainbow!
The RainbowHouse is a chosen family that works to build a society free of stereotypes and discrimination in order to promote living together in peace and respect. Solidarity, inclusiveness, equality are the values we cultivate in our House.
