Rainbow Cops Belgium LGBT Police is a non-profit Association of police officers and members of the civilian staff of the Belgian Integrated Police, who are concerned with or interested in the LGBT issues, or who belong to this community themselves.
Here are our main missions:
- Training the entire police force to track down discrimination or hate crime based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Raising awareness about the LGBT issues by sharing information and experiences within the police force to promote mutual respect.
- Raising awareness about the LGBT issues within the police force and outside the police force, thanks to the experience gained in Belgium and in other European countries.
- Helping the victims of homophobic or transphobic crimes to reach the qualified persons within or outside the police force to fill out a complaint.
Rainbow Cops Belgium LGBT Police is a member of the LGBT Police Association (EGPA).
