LGBTQIA+ Info Point Brussels
RainbowHouse Brussels is launching the LGBTQIA+ Info Point Brussels, a welcoming space that provides information and guidance for LGBTQIA+ people, their loved ones, and allies.
Every Saturday from 2 PM to 6 PM, a team of trained volunteers is available to welcome you in a safe, inclusive, and confidential environment. The Info Point is a place where you can freely ask questions, find a listening ear, and receive reliable information.
Depending on your needs, volunteers can also refer you to relevant LGBTQIA+ organisations in Brussels and present the resources and services that best match your situation. The sessions are run by trained volunteers who are attentive, respectful, and aware of the realities and needs of LGBTQIA+ communities.
The LGBTQIA+ Info Point can provide information and guidance on topics such as:
-
Refer you to specialised LGBTQIA+ mental and/or sexual health services
-
Introduce you to organisations specialised in trans identity and gender identity issues
-
For you, your family, or a teacher: recommend organisations that support LGBTQIA+ youth
-
Offer you a space to be listened to and supported in situations of discrimination or LGBTQIA+-related violence that you or someone close to you may experience
-
Advise you on organisations that work with and support rainbow families
-
Guide you towards groups that organise activities in safe community spaces, including cultural, sports, and leisure activities
- …
The Info Point is part of the mission of RainbowHouse Brussels to strengthen access to information, support LGBTQIA+ people, and facilitate connections with the Brussels LGBTQIA+ community and associative network.
