N•a•k•e•d – Tiberiu Căpudean // Vernissage – Opening

RainbowHouse Brussels - Bar
19:00
Thursday 19 July 2018

Tiberiu Căpudean is a 44 years old Romanian photographer and LGBTQ+ activist born and raised in Bucharest.

For 9 months, Tiberiu had photographed over 200 gay and bisexual men of all ages, body types and races in an atempt to fight discrimination. He wanted to give a face and a voice to the ones hated by the homophobes. For this reason, all the men he photographed shared a personal story describing a moment they felt homophobia, racism, xenophobia, body shaming, agesim and stereotyping.

That’s how N•A•K•E•D was born. From the need for visibility of the LGBTQI+ community and from his desire to show that DIVERSITY means NORMALITY.

N•A•K•E•D is an emotional journey. It’s a visual as well as a narrative project. And after an exhibition at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest, N•A•K•E•D is coming to the RainbowHouse in Brussels.

This is a collaboration with the board of the RainbowHouse, which will be bartending, on the occasion of their monthly barnight.

N•a•k•e•d will be on from 19th of July to 18th of September.

The RainbowHouse bar is managed by volunteers on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
