Fuchsia Genres Pluriels Brussels Women Munch
The rendezvous of Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans * communities in Brussels:
Every year, Rainbowhouse Brussels organizes a 10-day festival for lesbian, bisexual, transgender and feminist women.
Since its inception, the L-Festival has focused on making queer women more visible, creating safe spaces with them and for them, promoting lesbian, bi and trans art through multiple disciplines and connecting queer women’s movements.
Unique programming:
This year, the L-Festival has put together a program that is both festive and committed. With workshops, exhibitions, a manifestation, round table discussions, film screenings and meetings. Selected scenes from“Chosen” will be screened to kickstart the festivities, a Béa Uhart photo project that explores the friendly intimacies, the families we choose, in queer communities …
The L-Festival wanted to highlight the women’s (and mixed) RainbowHouse associations that will present their activities for lesbian, bië, trans and feminist women during the Powher network-day.
You are also invited to join us on the dancefloor at Mix-her, a collaboration with the Festival “All Genres are in Culture”, the event of Genres Pluriels.
The annual march against violence against women is one of the dates not to be missed. We invite you to walk with the Queer Crew as we say NO to violence against women.
The L-Festival gives carte blanche to Huis van De Mens to tackle LGBTQI + themes and the junction of traditions and religions through artistic performances and debate: “Naast mijn haart, mijn geloof en traditie”.
The annual L-Festival photo contest returns with a new theme: “DYKES IN THE STREETS”! Which gives pride of place to visibility, and which invites us to take back the city.
We invite you to discover Tahnee’s one-lesbian show, through the looking glass of the modern world, a world rich in diversity, culture, gender, sexuality!
For moviegoers, we opted for the screening of a moving romance: “Disobedience”, to address the bisexual theme and will be followed by a debate.
And as tradition, we close L-Festival 2018 with a demented night in the presence of incredible and talented DJ-ettes.
